about me
My site is an anthology of my life: a compilation of who I am + some of what I have done in this current lifetime, sprinkled with random facts/notes about me. It is non-exhaustive, yet provides great insight into how I have shown up in the world thus far.
WHO I AM
WHAT I'VE DONE
WHAT I DO

She/Her.

I'm a Pisces Sun, Aries Moon + Leo Rising. I stand at 5 foot 5 1/2 inches tall in physical stature and as tall as the cosmos in spirit.

Cali girl in a Southern world. My dad named me after the Black female comedian + fellow Pisces Marsha Warfield. My oldest sister calls me Forrest Gump: I happen upon unusual opportunities by being in the right, divine place at the right, divine time, operating from a place of deep faith. I wanted to be a "Barbie Singer" when I was 5 (more on that on my "Film + TV and Stage" page) and I suspect my interpretation of what that was is everything I already am: an incredibly multifaceted human who shows up in her deep hue with courage, bright stage presence and a voice/perspective intended to be heard. I believe heavily in justice, respect, "the impossible," being inspiration-led, the Creator and all of Their amazing toys (i.e. stars, trees, ocean, butterflies, etc.) and operating as one's truest and highest self.

My love of good food has been diverse: I've been a carnivore, I've cut out pork (pork free since 2005), I've been vegan at different points of my life, I've gone pescatarian, Dr. Sebi Alkaline plant based, and currently influx between vegetarian and plant based. I'm eatin' what feels good.

Music shows up at the core of who I am. It plays a major role in every single facet of my being and is the centripetal force in my life. Family is my priority, especially my coven including my mother, middle sister, my oldest sister, who transitioned from this earthly realm in 2020, and my adult niece.

I am creation.

As a kid, I played basketball + volleyball. I grew up dancing and performing all of the time and occasionally did acting and singing on stage. Fashion design was one of my biggest passions when I was in high school.  I have walked in fashion shows and worked backstage at fashion shows since 16.

I've been a freelance photographer since 2009. For a short period, I was an artist manager under The Wilson Agency, an agency me and my two older sisters created around 2017. I also began graphic designing and artist/entrepreneurial branding around the same time, doing the following: resumes, websites, business cards, personal shopping + styling, event ticket designs, ticket site sales, and social media management.

I managed an Opera singer and 1/3 of SO13, a singer, pianist and visual artist trio. Two underrated classes I have taken in my life are Wood Shop in 6th grade and Sculpture my junior/senior year at Howard University. I absolutely LOVE creating and being VERY hands-on with my work.

In 2008, I graduated with my Associate of Arts degree in Fashion Design from FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) in Los Angeles, California. I attended a junior college for a year, full time, taking courses like Piano, Drawing, African-American studies and Anthropology. I was also an honorary student at CSUN (California State University Northridge), visiting classes with my sister and mother, who were both students there. I attended Hip Hop courses and other studies in the Pan African studies department, attended Black Student Union meetings, protested around campus against the Jena 6 injustices at the time, which afforded me front cover of the CSUN newspaper along with other protestors, and was a Historian for the Hip Hop Think Tank, including helping to host and head an exhibit in the campus library for The World Class Wrecking Cru member, DJ Alonzo Williams. (Fun fact: my sister was president of Hip Hop Think Tank, while I was an honorary member, and hosted Ava DuVernay at the campus to premiere her first documentary, "This Is The Life"; we also hosted Karrine Steffans for a school-wide conversation that garnered a lot of attention with a full house of attendees.)

In 2009, I transferred to Howard University to study Fashion Merchandising and was accepted into a dual internship program with BRAG (Black Retain Action Group), where I worked at The Children's Place corporate in New Jersey and also led a group of 5 in a case study presentation. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011 and began my graduate studies at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, GA) in 2012. I was selected for the study abroad program in France summer 2013 where I was one of two grad students, enrolled in improv acting and travelogue photography courses. Work from my France photography exhibit is featured under the Photography tab, or you can click here to see more.

I've done quite a bit in my 30+ years and one of my favorite accomplishments was co-creating a tween girls' creative arts camp with my sister, incorporating several mediums of art with performance/presentation at the end of week camp. During that era (around 2014), I was invited as a head photographer at Dance 411, a world-renowned dance studio in Atlanta, GA, to capture professional starter headshots for dancers and actors, some of who reported to me that they were hired from headshots I captured for them.

My film industry career started in 2016 and I am currently in transition from Costumes to Music within the industry.

*Fun fact: I co-piloted a helicopter for my 18th b-day in Los Angeles.*

Me. I do me. I do what resonates at any given time and I express through a colorful lens by way of many different mediums. I am a colorful compilation of many facets. Freelance photographer and graphic designer. Intuitive readings. Curate music/create dope playlists.

Meditation. I write. I design. I create music playlists. I love being to myself. I love socializing. I dance. I draw. I sew. I do my own hair and makeup.

I  made an actual handwritten list of all of the things I wanted to be when I grew up since my kid + teen years and nothing ever convinced me that it wasn't "realistic" for me to accomplish. I am deeply appreciative that my mother nurtured my inspirations + aspirations and never discouraged me from being my full self.

My desire is to continue diving deep into my many layers and to support others in tapping into their divine essence and brilliant purpose on this earth through my art and through my gifts of divination.
